WPDistro provides repository access and update infrastructure for development, testing, and staging environments. The rights attached to the software itself remain governed by its applicable open-source license.
WPDistro does not create or replace the software license attached to an individual plugin or theme. Where software is distributed under the GNU General Public License or another open-source license, your rights are determined by that applicable license.
For WordPress software, the GPL provides broad freedoms to run, study, modify, and redistribute covered software, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable GPL version.
Your WPDistro subscription provides access to our repository, synchronization tools, update infrastructure, and related account services. The subscription does not represent a purchase of copyright ownership in third-party software.
WPDistro is intended for development, testing, staging, and similar development workflows. It is not presented as a replacement for commercial licenses, support plans, hosted services, or other offerings provided by the original software developers.
Open-source licenses may grant rights to modify and redistribute software. Under the GPL, those freedoms come with corresponding obligations when covered software is redistributed.
If you modify or redistribute software obtained through WPDistro, you are responsible for complying with the license applicable to that software, including any source-code, copyright notice, license, attribution, or other requirements that apply.
Not every file packaged with a WordPress plugin or theme necessarily has identical licensing terms. Code, libraries, fonts, images, icons, documentation, and other bundled materials may be subject to their respective licenses.
Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with the applicable license terms for third-party materials included with any software they use or redistribute.
WPDistro does not provide or transfer developer-issued license keys, official support contracts, premium support tickets, proprietary cloud services, or other services that may be separately offered by the original software developer.
If a particular product requires an official developer account, subscription, API access, hosted service, or other proprietary service, those requirements remain separate from WPDistro.
Software licensing does not automatically grant trademark rights. Product names, logos, company names, and other distinctive branding remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
WPDistro is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or officially connected with WordPress.org, Automattic, or the third-party developers whose products may appear in our repository.
WPDistro's repository, synchronization infrastructure, and related services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
WPDistro does not warrant that every software update will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every environment, or available immediately after an upstream developer release.
Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under an applicable open-source license or applicable law.
